Our Story
Cindy worked as a political communications specialist for a U.S. Senator in Washington, D.C., and Art continues to work as a contractor for the Department of Defense and Homeland Security in the cyber-security industry. Following the tragedies on 9/11 and a serious evaluation of what they believe to be most important in their lives, Cindy, Art and their two children left city-living near Washington, D.C. and settled into the Northern Virginia countryside. This is where Valley Green Naturals was born.
Started from a soap-making hobby in the kitchen of the Valley Green farm house, the company now boasts over 40 skin, bath and hair care products that are free of parabens, phthalates, sulfates and petrochemicals.
Valley Green Naturals and its products have been featured in Entrepreneur and Washingtonian Magazines, the Health Journal, on AOL’s StyleList, the New York Examiner, Washington Life Magazine online, and a variety of other media outlets.
